If you find a 9315 in good shape just buy it and put it in the box. It's nice to have the original things. If you wear the watch daily just use it with the 93150, it's better and easier to resize.Ref. 93150: The ref. 93150 emerged in 1976 (and so is the bracelet fitted to all White Submariner 1680 watches) and had solid side links. While they are the least desirable in terms of collectability, they are the most robust and modern-feeling of the three.Rolex Bracelets Ultimate Guide. The case, dial, and bezel might draw the most attention, but the look of a Rolex watch is not complete without its bracelet or strap. In fact, switching out a strap can completely transform the appearance of a Rolex watch, something that isn't necessarily true for other parts of the watch.Rolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum > Rolex & Tudor Watch Topics > Vintage Rolex Discussion: Should I buy a 9315 bracelet to replace a 93150?
I've upgraded my 9411 to a 93150 as well. The Tudor equivalent is 78500(?) which is what the folded links are replaced with or if you buy one outright from an RSC. I do like the 9315 if in pristine condition but those bastards are easy to mess up. For clarity, the two watches are: Rolex 1680 sub (1972) with 93150, 580 end links and 93150 clasp (2002 date code) Tudor 79090 sub (1992) with 9315, 380B end links and Tudor stamped clasp (1991). Now this is going to get messy.
As you could infer, this change generated its own line of Oyster bracelets, the reference 9315/9316 being the equivalent of a 7836 bracelet for a Submariner equipped with a stronger clasp (later replaced by the 93150 with full links). My old cartel 1665 DRSD came with a 93150 bracelet and the fantasy clasp. I swapped out a 78360 fliplock clasp, put on some 593 ends and ended up with a decent bracelet. Good luck and let us know if you come up with an easy answer! 1) There are 12 links total on the bracelet, referred to as "folded links." Some of the later parts books. show these bracelets with 13 links. 2) The clasp does not have a thumbnail recess like found on the later 93150 bracelet.
