So I am wondering if removing a link on the 6 o clock side to center the clasp a bit, will help the watch case stay in . Is your 5mm extension link under the clasp seating firmly? It swivels to shorten or lengthen the bracelet a little bit depending on how your wrist swells...you can select either position but it must be seated firmly into the back of the clasp. I went to put on my 116619 which I have had for about 10 years and the clasp will not latch. Its as if the two hinged parts with the Rolex stamp do not sit inside each other. They are not flush inside the clasp which sticks out and pushes against my wrist. I .
Sometimes bending the clasp itself helps. the two curved plates nestle, it one gets bent it may not be obvious but they won't engage properly. I.e. looking at the picture posted if the left side gets bent (curved in or out) it won't stay closed with the right side / vice-versa.If the clasp on your watch isn't staying closed, there may be a quick fix that you can do on your own. Don't feel disappointed that your clasp is broken, chances are that it's not broken at all and simply needs bent back into shape!
The clasp doesn't close as tight as it should. Will sometimes pop open when worn, or come loose enough that I need to push on the bracelet to get it to fully "snap" back into place. Anyone know how to safely correct this? Overtime, your Rolex clasp will begin to loose its tight fit. This common issue is actually resolved quite easily. Here is a “how to” on how to make that Rolex clasp feel tighter or looser for that matter.

I've had a PO clasp repaired by a good jeweler. The diver extension was out of adjustment and wouldn't lock in place, which kept the clasp from closing properly. The fix was quick and easy and a lot less than a new clasp, which the folks at the boutique are more than willing to sell you.
