New Member: I bought Rolex Explorer I 3 yrs ago. Started loosing time, 2-3 minutes a day then stopped working completely. Had it fully reconditioned and picked it up yesterday. Working beautifully but noticed condensation under the crystal on 2 occasions while walking out in the cold weather. I only had it back 2 hrs, so it didn't get wet.

Yes you are correct when you state it sounds crazy, I would say it would be 100% impossible for the breath of any human to produce enough condensation to water vapour ingest any watch.Myself once on a dive in the Red Sea noticed my crown was fully unscrewed on my SD while at 25m plus.But I did not panic as I was in charge of a group of divers I was guiding over . Your watch has an issue, send it in. Condensation happens when hot air that got inside the watch touches a colder surface and cools. Hot moist air gives up energy and transfers from gas to liquid. You need to figure out how hot moist air got into the watch. My bet is one some o-ring or gasket leaking. _____

But obviously if any condensation was visible inside the watch, then that's likely something to get checked out.
They said they would take the watch apart to dry and clean it and from there determine if more servicing was necessary. They gave me a call 30 minutes later and the watch was dry and luckily no damage to movement! They suspect the water entered thru the crown.
